    Ian Anderson is a man who does not rest. It's been fifty years since his band, Jethro Tull's, inception and the man doesn't seem to ever stop. With early iconic tracks like "Aqualung" and "Living in the Past", Anderson secured himself as a writer of innovative songs, with music that shook genres together. His blend of rock, folk and sometimes jazz secured a fanbase that was as diverse and far-reaching as his music.

    He has performed music to countless people through the years, from beginning at the legendary Marquee club in London to passing through the Andes and ancient Greek and Roman amphitheaters. There seems like no challenge that Anderson will not undertake.



    Now, along with John O'Hara, Anderson has recorded Jethro Tull - The String Quartets, an album that takes classic Jethro Tull songs and reworks them for Classical performance by the Carducci Quartet. So now fans will be able to hear "Aqualung" passed through a magical filter, adopt a fugue structure and echo the influence of J.S. Bach. The album is a passion project for Anderson who was eager to share the music with fans as soon as possible, simply because he's already working on the next project.

    Allman Brothers Band Detail Eight-Disc 'The Fox Box'

    The Allman Brothers Band will release an eight-disc set comprising songs from their sold-out, three-night run at Atlanta's Fox Theatre in September 2004. At the time they were touring on what would turn out to be their final studio album, Hittin' the Note . The Fox Box will feature a remastered audio mix and tighter song spacing than the versions that were released at the time and were made available during subsequent shows and through their internet mail order program. "Dreams" is the only song that is repeated from the 53 tracks in the box set. It appears three times, however a different guitar soloist – Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Jack Pearson – is featured in each instance.
