Mandy Moore & Justin Timberlake Couldn't Be More '90s in This #TBT Photo

"Summer of 1999. Abercrombie tshirts and bucket hats."
In 2017, Mandy Moore is a TV mom on NBC's most-watched show. But in the summer of 1999, Mandy Moore was the kid-sister pop-star alternative to Britney and Christina, armed with her breakout hit "Candy" and an opening gig on *NSYNC's summer tour.
Looking back at her pop-star past, Moore took to Instagram on Thursday (March 30) to share the ultimate Throwback Thursday pic -- a photo that perfectly summarizes a certain point in time.
"Summer of 1999. Abercrombie tshirts and bucket hats. Opening for this guy and his band. Look at my nervous smile! #tbt #memories," she captioned the picture of her 15-year-old self with ultimate late-'90s heartthrob Justin Timberlake.

That same year, Moore also toured with the Backstreet Boys, making sure to cover all her boy-band bases. Since her 1999 debut album So Real, Moore has released another five albums, but she's best known now as one of the stars on NBC freshman drama This Is Us, which has already been renewed for a second season.
Take a look back at simpler times (and Moore's self-proclaimed "abysmal" dancing) in the video for "Candy" below:
