Kendrick Lamar Owns Five of the Most Streamed Songs of 2017

Kendrick Lamar is doing numbers. K. Dot now has five of the top 50 most streamed songs of the year.


The T.D.E. rapper’s hit single, “Humble” is currently the second most streamed song of 2017, following only Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito.” Kendrick also has four other songs off his latest album, Damn, on the list, including “DNA” (No. 15), “Love” featuring Zacari (No. 27), “Loyalty” featuring Rihanna (No. 39) and “Element” (No. 48), according to information from Hits Daily Double.


Drake isn’t too far behind with four songs on the list including “Fake Love” (No. 17), “Passionfruit” (No. 19), “Portland” featuring Quavo and Travis Scott (No. 24) and “Gyalchester” (No. 47).


Kendrick also has the most streamed album of the year. With three months left in 2017, Damn has 2 million SPS. Drake’s More Life follows at No. 2 with 1.8 million.


Kendrick can’t be stopped. His song, “Humble” took home awards for Video of the Year and Best Hip-Hop at the 207 MTV Video Music Awards. He ended up with six Moon Men in all.


Kenny is tied for the lead for nominations at the upcoming 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards, along with Cardi B and DJ Khaled. His nominations include Best Hip-Hop Video, Hot Ticket Performer, Lyricist of the Year, MVP of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Huster of the Year and Impact Track.
