Rush To Include Unreleased Live Songs On ‘A Farewell To Kings’ Reissue -

Rush recently announced they'll be releasing a 40th anniversary reissue of their seminal album A Farewell to Kings. Originally released in 1977 by Anthem Records, the band's fifth studio album was certified platinum and their first to reach gold status in the United States. A remastered version came out in 1997, but A Farewell to Kings — 40th Anniversary will feature much more Rush than just the original music.

The Super Deluxe Edition will include 4 LP's and 3 CD's with audio of the original album, a previously unreleased live performance at the Hammersmith Odeon, a series of Rush covers by bands such as Dream Theater and Big Wreck, as well as a selection of tracks in high quality Blu-ray audio format. Extra goodies will include new cover art for each album by Rush creative director Hugh Syme, 12,000 words worth of liner notes by Grammy-winning rock historian Rob Bowman, plus a King's Ring with velvet pouch, two lithographs, and a reproduction of the original A Farewell to Kings Tour program.

A Farewell to Kings — 40th Anniversary will also ship in three other, less extensive configurations for fans who want strictly CD, LP, or digital formats. The sets are available for pre-order now on the Rush website, and are due out December 1 of this year.
