Dhani Harrison Unveils Dystopian Future In Clip For “All About Waiting” -








Dhani Harrison released an animated music video to accompany his haunting song "All About Waiting". The track was originally released back in July as the first single from his debut solo album IN///PARALLEL, which in turn came out October 6th of this year. The son of Beatle George Harrison previously led the band thenewno2 during the 2000's and has also worked composing music for TV and movies over the years.

The new clip features a scientist working in a lab that seems to be genetically modifying everything it can lay its hands on. The outside world is dominated by digital advertisements, polluting power plants, and natural disasters ranging from floods to volcanoes and wildfires. The scientist herself suffers from health issues, seemingly contaminated by her work and its effects. She doses up on medication, shaves her head, and by the end, is replaced by a clone or robot who supervises as she surrenders her failing body to the demented future.



Harrison's haunting vision of the future draws on events seen around the world today. Hurricanes in the Caribbean, fires in California, GMO crops in Africa and India all serve as a backdrop for the technological and contextual self-destruction that feed into the digital backdrop of the song's instrumentals.



Harrison commented in an interview, "Everyone's more disconnected than we've ever been before...News stories have a life of, what, a day now? The feed is just continuous. People just forget about stuff because the next day there's something equally bad or terrible or fearful or wonderful that you're missing out on."



Harrison will tour the US in November to support the release of IN///PARALLEL.

Delayed Again: 'Star Citizen' Alpha 3 Now Won't Hit Until September

The massively multiplayer space exploration game,  Star Citizen, has suffered another setback. Alpha 3.0 has been pushed back from August to September, developer Cloud Imperium Games announced. The Alpha has suffered several delays by this point. Originally expected in late August, Alpha 3.0 is now expected for an early September launch, with the developer aiming for the week of September 4. Originally shown off last year at Germany's Gamescom, 3.0 will add in the ability for players to seamlessly fly to, land upon and explore the planets in the game – no small feat, surely. But it looks like getting this out the door is causing the developer several issues. "This week, we entered the optimization, polish and bug fixing phase for the 3.0 feature set," the developer said. Gus Malzahn to Arkansas? Auburn coach wants return to Tigers

After his team's 28-7 loss to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said he wants to return to Auburn amidst rumors linking him to the vacant Arkansas position.  "I want to be the head coach at Auburn," Malzahn said after he was asked about his plans for next season, per USAToday.com's George Schroeder . He was then asked if that means he  will  be back, to which he responded, "I want to be."  Malzahn played wide receiver for Arkansas for two seasons before he transferred to Henderson State and served as the wide receivers coach/offensive coordinator for the Razorbacks during the 2006 season.  Arkansas fired coach Bret Bielema after five seasons shortly after the team's season-ending 48-45 loss to Missouri. Bielema went 29-34 over his five seasons, including a 4-8 mark in 2017.  Malzahn is 45-21 in four seasons at Auburn.  Source link
